You Saw It On Credo: Carl Trueman on John Owen and Overcoming Sin

Justin Taylor recently cited John Piper here on why Christians should read and engage with the Puritan theologian John Owen. This comes from the foreword an updated edition of John Owen’s work Overcoming Sin and Temptation, edited by Taylor and Kelly Kapic.

Owen certainly said a great deal that was worthwhile and beneficial in regards to killing sin in the Christian life. One of the great teachers of Owen’s life and theology is Carl Trueman, and recently he gave five talks on Owen and his teaching on sin and temptation. These talks were delivered at Cornerstone Christian Church in Medford, Oregon (November 2013).
