PhD program, Spurgeon Lectures, and more

Last week I reflected on joining the team at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Yesterday I highlighted some of the many resources MBTS offers, in particular the For the Church messages recently given in Phoenix.

Today I would like to draw your attention to several more. First off is a video that explains why MBTS has implemented this vision “for the Church” and how this vision has influenced MBTS’s approach to seminary education. Next is an introduction to the PhD program which has been a major factor in the growth and success of the school. This video specifically focuses on the Residency, which is selective, limiting its enrollment to 25 students a year. The PhD prepares you for Christian Higher Education or theological education. Dr. Duesing talks about what this PhD offers that traditional programs do not. I especially like the close mentoring aspect of the program. You will also see video of MBTS’s beautiful campus.

Last are a set of messages from the Spurgeon Center. These are the Spurgeon Lectures and include speakers like Dever, Whitney, Mohler, Begg, and more.
