Timothy George (ThD, Harvard University) is the former Dean of Beeson Divinity School of Samford University, a position he held since the school’s inception in 1988, and currently serves as research professor of divinity at Beeson, senior theological advisor for Christianity Today, and is on the editorial advisory boards of First Things and Books & Culture. He is the author of more than twenty books, including Theology of the Reformers, Reading Scripture with the Reformers, Galatians Commentary, and Southern Baptist Identity. An ordained minister in the Southern Baptist Convention, George has served churches in Georgia, Massachusetts, Kentucky and Alabama.
