Jesus Storybook Bible and Song of the Stars

By Matthew Barrett –

One of my favorite actors is David Suchet. I think he is very gifted and if you have not seen him play the famous detective, Hercule Poirot, in the Agatha Christie novels-turned-movies, well then, you are seriously missing out. But anyway, it is delight to the ears to hear Suchet read The Jesus Storybook Bible, written by Sally Lloyd-Jones. Suchet is a great example of how the nativity story should be read. He gives you a feeling for the importance of Christ’s birth. Today I would like to highlight two videos from The Jesus Storybook Bible as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord.

I also want to mention one more children’s book, also written by Sally Lloyd-Jones and just released this year. This book is called, Song of the Stars: A Christmas Story.

This is a creative little book which tells the story of the birth of Christ through the perspective of the animals and really all of creation. Your children will enjoy it. The book emphasizes how the one who made the stars is now here with us.
