Credo catechizes Christians in classical Christianity
Credo is Latin for “I believe.” It is taken from creeds like the Nicene Creed which begin with, “We believe…” Credo helps churchgoers, ministers, and students alike retrieve the classical Christianity of the ecumenical creeds and in a way that bridges the gap between church and academy. Credo makes classical theology accessible so that churches today can cultivate orthodox theology in worship and foster sacramental fidelity in their liturgy.
How can you participate in Credo?
1. Read - Read Credo Magazine which is an introduction to classical Christianity. If you are an academic and you want to go deeper, read The Journal of Classical Theology.
2. Listen - Join the Great Tradition by listening in on the great conversation. Subscribe to the Credo Podcast as Matthew Barrett sits down with today’s best theologians.
3. Participate - Attend the Credo Conference to learn classical theology firsthand and participate in Socratic dialogue with others over classical texts.
4. Commit - Commit to a one-year residency at Anselm House where Fellows follow a "rule of life," meeting in Matthew Barrett's home for evening prayer, meals for virtue formation and friendship, and Socratic dialogue over classical texts, as well as participation in the sacramental life of the church. Receive seminary credit for your time at Anselm House.
