Honoring Dr. Rod Decker (Timothy Raymond)
In case you haven’t heard the news, Dr. Rod Decker, uber-New Testament scholar and teacher, author, mentor to countless pastors and missionaries, popular conference speaker and blogger, and author of one of the most-read articles at Themelios, died after a lengthy battle with cancer on May 25, 2014. God is good and wise and sovereign and those of us who sorrow his passing do not grieve as those who have no hope.
If you’re not familiar with Dr. Decker’s work, I’d encourage you to peruse his extensive online resource collection, NT Resources. Through this massive storehouse of excellent biblical, theological, exegetical, hermeneutical, and pastoral resources, he, like so many saints of the past, being dead yet speaks. Also, and thankfully, three books by Dr. Decker are scheduled to be published later this year.
