Read through the Bible in 2018

The start of the new year is a great opportunity to make a resolution to read through the entire Bible in one year. There are many excellent Bible reading plans available to help you do so. One plan that has passed the test of time, helping you connect the Old Testament to the New Testament, is the Robert Murray M’Cheyne (or McCheyne) reading plan. M’Cheyne was a Scottish pastor from the nineteenth-century. Andrew Bonar has written an inspiring biography of M’Cheyne, published by Banner of Truth. Download a PDF of the reading plan, which will take you through the New Testament and the Psalms twice and through the Old Testament once. To get you started, here are the first 10 days:

1. Gn 1, Mt 1, Ezr 10, Acts 1

2. Gn 2, Mt 2, Ezr 2, Acts 2

3. Gn 3, Mt 3, Ezr 3, Acts 3

4. Gn 4, Mt 4, Ezr 4, Acts 4

5. Gn 5, Mt 5, Ezr 5, Acts 5

6. Gn 6, Mt 6, Ezr 6, Acts 6

7. Gn 7, Mt 7, Ezr 7, Acts 7

8. Gn 8, Mt 8, Ezr 8, Acts 8
