Joy: An Irish Christmas
One of my favorite memories about this time last year was taking my family to go see Keith and Kristyn Getty’s Irish Christmas concert. All I have to say is…WOW! There is nothing like Irish Christmas music, especially by the Getty’s. Well, you can now listen to their Christmas music as they have released a new cd, “Joy: An Irish Christmas.” My family and I have been listening to these songs around the house all week and what a great reminder they are of our Savior’s birth, incarnation, and atonement for sin. In fact, if you want a taste, you can listen to a sample of each song on their album here. Songs include:
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
What Child Is This?
Magnificat
How Suddenly A Baby Cries
Joy Has Dawned / Angels We Have Heard on High
Jesus Joy of the Highest Heaven
Carol of the Bells
O Savior of Our Fallen Race
Fullness of Grace
Joy to the World
An Irish Christmas Blessing
Be sure to check out the Getty website as well as their Christmas website, where you will find a bunch of Christmas gift packages. It is only right to leave you with a sample video of their Irish Christmas music.
Also, you may be interested in some of their other cds. You can find the lyrics and samples of each song here. And here are some other sample videos:
