Credo’s Cache

Each week we will be highlighting important resources. Check back each Friday to see what we have dug up for you. From this week’s cache:

1. Biblical Doctrine of the Trinity PDFBy Reformed Resources – Check out this book written by B.B. Warfield on the doctrine of the Trinity. You can purchase a PDF of the book for only 1 dollar!

2. Why I Am a ContinuationistBy Sam Storms – Storms notes: “The fact is I’ve seen all spiritual gifts in operation, tested and confirmed them, and experienced them firsthand on countless occasions. As stated, this is less a reason to become a continuationist and more a confirmation (although not an infallible one) of the validity of that decision.”

3. Why I Am a CessationistBy Thomas Schreiner – Schreiner says: “Why would anyone think that some of the gifts have been withdrawn? I will argue that such a reading fits best with Scripture and experience. Scripture takes priority over experience, for it is the final authority, but Scripture must also correlate with life, and our experiences should provoke us to re-examine afresh whether we’ve read the Bible rightly.”

4. Workplace EvangelismBy Greg Gilbert – Gilbert says: “Will conversations about spiritual things sometimes be awkward?  Yes, of course, and Christians have to be ready for that.  But think about it.  God may have deployed you in your particular job, with all its potential for awkward conversations, precisely because He wants you to handle those kinds of conversations.”

5. What Gospel Communities Can Learn from the TransfigurationBy Tim Brister – Brister notes: “If we could have a conversation today with the greatest figures in the history of redemption, they would be talking about Jesus–His life, death, and resurrection. But if people could have a conversation today with you and me, what would we what we want to talk about?”
