You Saw It On Credo: Desiring God Conference For Pastors

As mentioned last week, Desiring God recently had their pastor’s conference, and a number of excellent talks can be found here. This year’s theme was on union with Christ, which is a crucial matter when discussing the doctrine of salvation. While all of the talks are worth listening, several in particular are especially worthwhile.

First, Sinclair Ferguson, long-time pastor and theologian, shares two key talks on union with Christ, the first dealing with its biblical and theological foundations, the second discussing life-transforming implications and applications.

Another stellar talk is given by Michael Horton, Professor of Theology and Apologetics at Westminster Seminary. He addresses John Calvin’s theology of union with Christ, a crucial figure in church history who spoke on this topic in detail.

Finally, as usual, John Piper shares a compelling biographical sketch, this year of the life and ministry of Hudson Taylor.

Jeremy Kimble (PhD, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) is Assistant Professor of Theological Studies at Cedarville University. He is an editor for Credo Magazine as well as the author of That His Spirit May Be Saved: Church Discipline as a Means to Repentance and Perseverance and numerous book reviews. He is married to Rachel and has two children, Hannah and Jonathan.
