Credo’s Cache

Each week we will be highlighting important resources. Check back each Friday to see what we have dug up for you. From this week’s cache:

1. Biblical Reasons to Doubt the Creation Days Were 24-Hour PeriodsBy Justin Taylor– Taylor says: “Contrary to what is often implied or claimed by young-earth creationists, the Bible nowhere directly teaches the age of the earth.”

2. My Baby’s Heart Stopped BeatingBy Jasmine Holmes – Holmes notes: “I got to be a mom. It was only for a moment, but it was a beautiful moment. I hope I get to be a mom again, but even if that doesn’t happen, God is good. And his purposes for me are sure.”

3. The Guest ListBy Brad Andrews – Andrews says: “Reaching out to the marginalized will remind you how God went out in the person and work of Jesus to find you in the gutter of your sin and invite you into the banquet of his stunning salvation.”

4. We Are GomerBy Brandon Smith – Smith says: “The story of Hosea and Gomer reminds us that God loves us not because of our faithfulness, but because of his. Christ saves, and continues to intercede for, the bride who covets other men. Until we see God face-to-face, we will continue to be drawn to other things. But for now, our Husband stands and fights.”

5. Follow The BloodBy Lee Gatiss – Gatiss says: “No bright pebbles light our path to glory. The birds swoop down to eat the tasty breadcrumbs.  We will not float up to heaven on a cloud of comfort, applauded and respected by the unbelieving world. Or sail into glory without a fight against our sin.”

Matt Manry is the Assistant Pastor at Life Bible Church in Canton, Georgia. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion at Reformed Theological Seminary and a Masters of Arts in Christian and Classical Studies from Knox Theological Seminary.
