Credo’s Cache

Each week we will be highlighting important resources. Check back each Friday to see what we have dug up for you. From this week’s cache:

1.  Demythologizing Adam: Case Unproven: By Hans Madueme – Madueme says, “We’re told that we can’t affirm a historical Adam because it’s scientifically unbelievable, but why trust Paul on the resurrection when that, too, is scientifically unbelievable? Or, to flip the script, if we believe the resurrection, then a historical Adam is no biggie.”

2. Love Incorruptible: By Kevin DeYoung – DeYoung notes, “In our Lord Jesus Christ, God is right now working his mighty power for us who believe. And in Christ we have already been made alive with him, even when we were dead in transgressions. And in him we have been seated in the heavenly realms, in order that in the coming ages God might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

3. Our Worship Has A Reason: By Sam Parkison – Parkison says, “Let me say one more thing about emotions: we should not be afraid of experiencing the natural feeling when we are singing truth. We should enjoy that feeling of dopamine being released in our brains as we belt our hymns!”

4. 7 Ridiculously Simple Ways To Make Time For Beauty: By Whitney Woollard – Woollard says, “Many of our lifestyles (running chaotically from task to task) have stifled any appetite for beauty. We need to jumpstart these affections by choosing to practice godly habits that put us in a posture to savor Christ’s beauty. The good news is that affections are like a muscle; they grow and develop as we exercise them. Start regularly practicing small ways to behold Christ’s beauty and you will grow to crave a glorious vision of him more often.”

5. Proclaiming Unifying Hope in Christ: By Robert Brady – Brady says, “Continue to praise God for the true unity only Christ Jesus gives! Remind others that our identity stands for all generations, not based on who you are or what you do but is found in your Savior, Jesus Christ. And allow the Alliance to serve you, as you serve the Church.”
