Credo’s Cache

Each week we will be highlighting important resources. Check back each Friday to see what we have dug up for you. From this week’s cache:

1. We Were Made to Marvel: Erik Raymond – Raymond says, “It remains fascinating to watch people respond to things that God has made. Music, particularly classical music like this, is, in my opinion, timelessly beautiful and uniquely suited to draw out our often repressed sense of marvel.”

2. And He Called His Name Jesus: Whitney Woollard – Whitney says, “Who has God laid on your heart this season? Who needs to be comforted with the very comfort you’ve received in Christ? Christmas provides ample opportunities for sharing the gospel with others. Be bold in your witness knowing that God’s presence will empower you as you speak life, peace, and joy to those around you.”

3. Jesus Loves The Traditional Church: Michael Cooper – Cooper says, “My encouragement to young guys in ministry who are wanting to pastor is simply get plugged into a church, even an older church. The ministry may look different, but it always points to the Savior. These older saints need someone who love Jesus and will love them.”

4. The New Perspective on Paul: Guy Waters and Stephen Nichols – “The New Perspective argues that the real difference between Judaism and first-century Christianity lay in a couple of areas. One, of course, was Christianity’s conviction that Jesus is the Messiah. But beyond that, the New Perspective argues that Christianity was advancing inclusivism, that is to say, that the people of God included not only Jews but also Gentiles.”

5. The Uniqueness of Christian Parenting: Jason Helopoulos – Helopoulos says, “Christian parenting is not a solo endeavor. If it was, we would fail. Rather, we have a Heavenly Father who cares for us, hears our prayers, and loves to give good gifts to His children. We lift up our children with the hope that they will be His children with the expectation that He will care for them even as He cares for us.”
