How can I introduce theology to my church? What opportunities exist in the text you are preaching to elaborate on a particular doctrine? Is there occasion for delivering a doctrinal sermon that builds off a text you recently preached? What avenues in the life of the church exist for you to incorporate theology in the classroom? How might you partner with the worship leader to sings songs that are doctrinally faithful? Where can you start in providing theological books to your church and thus create a culture of reading?

Matthew Barrett is the editor-in-chief of Credo Magazine, director of the Center for Classical Theology, and host of the Credo podcast. He is professor of Christian theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the author of several books, including Simply Trinity, which won the Christianity Today Book of the Year Award in Theology/Ethics. His new book is called The Reformation as Renewal: Retrieving the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. He is currently writing a Systematic Theology with Baker Academic.
