New Credo Podcast: Does the Trinity Work Inseparably?

This is a series of conversations between major theologians and Matthew Barrett on the doctrine of the Trinity based on his new book, Simply Trinity: The Unmanipulated Father, Son, and Spirit (Baker, 2021).

In this podcast, Ryan Hurd and Matthew Barrett explain why it is so essential to confess the doctrine of inseparable operations. The external works of the Trinity are indivisible, from creation to salvation. Looking both at scripture and the fathers, Hurd and Barrett ask why this doctrine, which was so essential to Christian orthodoxy, has been misunderstood. They conclude by reflecting on the many ways inseparable operations is instrumental to a proper understanding of the Christian life and communion with God.
