What is Prudence?

Matthew Barrett sits down with Dominican friar Fr. Gregory Pine to explore the meaning of prudence. Together, they discuss Thomas Aquinas’s understanding of prudence as “right reason in things to be done” or the virtue that takes counsel, makes judgments, and ultimately commands. During the conversation, they consider moral theology, human limitations, and the freedom that comes from choosing well and faithfully acting upon those choices. Enjoy a rich conversation on Aquinas, prudence, moral formation, and our true path toward happiness in God.
